The Eagle River program is broad and varied, encompassing all areas of camp life. Our Supervisors and Division Leaders are certified teachers. They offer a high level of expertise for the best possible instruction. Activities and routines are geared to the age, interests and needs of the campers.

Eagle River offers 3-day programs for campers ages 3-5. Both mini-day and full-day programs are available in both 3-day and 5-day packages.

Our youngest campers begin at age three with a Miniday Program. The program is designed for the three to five year olds. The day begins with at 9:00 AM and ends with a parent pick up at camp. Either drop-off your camper or opt for our transportation service. When you arrive for pick-up at 1:30 PM you'll be able to see their progress on a daily basis. Their day includes swimming, arts, music, nature and sports along with other age appropriate activities. If you choose our transportation option, the busses arrive at camp by 9:00 AM (no afternoon transportation for the Miniday program.)

We also have a Full Day Program that starts at age three and extends through age 15. Each year the children add activities to their day. The schedule is structured in this age group to provide consistency. They have an instructional swim every day taught by American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors that are trained to work with younger children. Along with movement, music, arts and crafts, sports, ropes course and many different activities designed for their specific age group.

Third through eighth grade campers have the opportunity to select activities that hold special interest for them through our electives program. Sports, Swimming, Nature, Music, Arts and Crafts, Boating, Drama, Ropes Challenge Course with a climbing tower and zip line, Archery, Cooking, Mountain Biking, Wood Shop and numerous other activities provide a balance in programming that allows for the total development of the child while still catering to individual needs!

As campers get older, more activities are added to their day. Electives and sleepovers start in third grade, and weekly day trips begin in sixth grade. Extended 3-day, 2-night trips to exciting locations such as Montreal, Boston and Virginia are optional and begin with campers entering seventh grade.

Our Counselor in Training (CIT) Program is a great option for the kids entering 10th grade. We work closely with our CITs empowering them while teaching life skills they will need in the future. They spend most of their day working in an area of camp that interests them, they get evaluated by the teacher that oversees the Program and they find out what it takes to work in "the real world." They have a chance for question and answer and discussions throughout the summer as they learn how to become a positive role model and still have fun.
