We have staff positions available in the following areas:
 
Counselor - Counselors are the "big brothers and sisters" of their campers. Each group of children has one or two counselors and junior counselors as well as the Division Leader. Much of the camper’s summer success lies within the relationship with their counselors. For most campers, great counselors = great summer! Counselors assist specialists during elective activities, and provide motivation and emotional support to the campers throughout the day. You can also earn extra money by being a bus counselor or working during our extended hours program. Junior Counselors are entering 11th grade, and Senior Counselors are entering 12th grade or are college students.
Creative Specialist - Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Woodworking, Jewelry Making, Leatherworks, Music, Dance, Drama, Science, Nature, Fishing, Camping, Magic, Poetry, Newspaper, Juggling, Cooking, Mad Science & Rocketry. Specialists lead the groups of children with the assistance of the counselors and Division Leaders. Creative Specialists are usually teachers with experience teaching children.
Waterfront/Pool - Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, & Boating. All waterfront and pool staff need current Red Cross certification. We may even pay for your course! Call the camp office for more details at 609-448-5885.
Kitchen Staff/Office Staff/Van Drivers - Behind the scenes staff are just as important as those working directly with the campers. A number of different positions are avaiable. Call the camp office for more details at 609-448-5885.

In the comment box, tell us what job you're interested in for the summer!
 
Eagle River is a day camp in central New Jersey. The staff go home each night. You must live within bussing or driving distance of the camp. There are no facilities at the camp for staff to sleep.
 
If you are entering 9th grade you are eligible to become a LIT.
If you are entering 10th grade you are eligible to become a CIT.
If you are entering 11th grade you may be a Junior Counselor.
If you are entering college or older you may be a counselor or instructor.
